Finally watched all of Basara. I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IN IT. XD oh man. . . Akechi's ending is. . . quite. . . um. . . whoa. LOL Never expected anyone to be hung on a wall and burned alive and orgasm while at it. : face palm : I'm not going to hang off a wall or be burned alive or orgasm while at it. No. T_T;; Never did I expect Hayami's voice to be that creepy. I never really liked him doing BL unless there was NO SMUT in it. Basara anime NEEDS MOAR ANIKI. ;_; Wait till 2010 is torture. T^T SO. Almost done prepping for cosplays for Ota. AA stuff. . . ahahaha 0% done. >_>;;

Has anyone read "Cloth Road" manga? It's that "fashion-action" (lol) manga drawn by OKAMA (the artist who drew stuff for Densha Otoko). I was curious about it for a while (since OKAMA's illusts are fricken cool and his fashion arts are really unique and colorful/lively/vivid/modern/insert some floral adjective here.) It just so happened that I was browsing through An-Cafe's blog (haha. . . ) and Kanon wrote a review on it saying it was really good and the designs looked pretty nifty. Apparently, the charas are models who wear clothes and. . . battle in it?! I'm not exactly sure, but that sure caught my attention. Depending on how the model wears those clothes, pulls out that quality of that clothing which raises their abilities, so it seems. ^^; Judging OKAMA's art, I'd say the costumes are gravity defying crazy. XD (sorry for the poor quality editting. XD I just slapped the two pages together for easier viewing. LOL) I just took a peek at ch53 and 54 that I found floating on the internet and whoa. . . x_X; Hello, OKAMA style! It's full of geometric shapes plus a lot of . . . strange semi-grotesque creatures. lol But, I hate to say OKAMA is definitely more suited for being an illustrator than a comic artist. x_x; Only cuz . . . I know what he's trying to portray and what he's trying to depict from his art. BUT, personally. . . I don't think the story is being drawn out to the fullest. For instance, the actions are very confusing and the panel flow does not really match the character's movement. This is definitely more of an eye-candy manga than an intense-story! manga. I like it (judging from 2 chapters) and I'd love to know more about these characters! But, as a "comic" I'm having a difficult time following what is going on. . . even just by looking at 1 page. I'd have to say this is more of a "sequential art" where each panel is an art. (when I draw comics, I draw it more of a sequential artist more than a comic artist. XD Mainly cuz I suck at panel flow. . . *note* no one can SUCK at panelling. You can suck at making it flow and follow up with the next. There IS a difference. =/ If you're doinga 4 panel manga, you can't possibly SUCK at panelling. Making it FLOW is the hard part. :3) But that's only my judgement. :3 Don't get me wrong though! It definitely looks like a cool manga! edit- lol I'd love to wear something batshit crazy like the first design of June-May (that's the girl's name) for Venice. 8D I'd be BROKE trying to make it. . . *snort*

Busy day at work (for me). x_x; I somehow ended up stuck in the back 90% of the time and felt horrible for not being able to help out for a good portion of the time. But a regular customer dropped by today and gave us some fruit for some reason. XD ( And this lady just gave us some Longan. . . only to find out no one in my store knew how to eat it. Minus myself. ) Granted I'm a foodie myself, but Longan is not an uncommon fruit in my opinion. More like. . . I was surprised my co-workers didn't know Lychee. . . x_x; But, I thought I was a SUPER NERD when I thought about the Longan. Longan means dragon eye. Well, imagine where my brain went to after that. XD One track mind. DOKUGANRYU DATE MASAMUNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I. ATE. YOUR. EYE!!! and it was delicious. 8D (for those who don't get it, Dokuganryu means single eyed dragon. ^^; The fruit Longan. . . or Ryugan (in Japanese) is written as 竜眼 (or 龍眼) and Dokuganryu is 独眼竜. . . ignore me, I'm just being a super nerd. . . ) not to mention that fruit does look like an eyeball. lol Date. . . You FRUIT. 8D . . . I want some BASARA icons goddamnit!!!

Not that I work much on scanlations anymore, but a mini group I'm working on released ch. 00 and ch.01 of Sengoku BASARA 2 manga on put_yourguns_on. :D For those interested. Everyone's so motivated there, it makes me laugh. XD I'm like the laziest bum there that just sits around and tells people what to do 80% of the time. *BRICKED* XD It's funny being in that group makes me feel even more veteran than I need to be. . . I've worked on a bunch of translations since I was like. . . 16? lol x_x; . . . god, I wanna read Basara gakuen. More like. . . I just don't wanna work on stuff. T_T;; (work, you lazy bum!)
